Effective July 1, 2025, all NKU Faculty, Staff, and Retirees will qualify for a free individual membership to the NKU Campus Recreation Center.

Please note that Family and supplemental memberships will remain unchanged. No additional fees were added when individual rates were introduced, so the cost for any additional memberships remains the same as before. For you convenience, the prices are listed below. 

Effective July 1, 2023, all NKU Faculty, Staff, and Retirees will be required to have an active Campus Recreation Membership to access all facilities, programs, and amenities. An individual membership rate has been established for those who utilize the facility for their fitness needs.

Please note that Supplemental and Family membership rates remain unchanged; therefore, any faculty, staff, or retiree member who currently has or chooses to purchase a Supplemental or Family Membership is considered an active member on that account and will not be required to purchase an additional membership. For your convenience, the prices are listed below.

  • Per Kentucky State Law, all memberships are charged sales tax. 
  • Faculty or staff may pay in full (check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover) or through payroll deduction. 
  • Any promotions or discounts are not valid with Payroll Deduction.   
  • All NKU retiree memberships before July 1, 2023, will not need to purchase a membership. Any NKU Faculty or Staff that retiree after July 1, 2023 will need to purchase a membership to use the Campus Recreation facilities. 
  • Supplemental Membership Terms: Supplemental memberships include the faculty, staff, or retiree member and the spouse/partner of the member or one dependent under age 26. 
  • Family Membership Terms: Family memberships include the faculty, staff, or retiree member, their spouse/partner, and dependents of the main member under age 26. 
  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by a CRC member over 18 years old. Read our Age Requirements for Minors policy for more information.  
  • All supplemental or dependent members must reside at the same address as the primary account holder and show a picture ID at the time of purchase and renewal.
NKU Faculty / Staff Membership: Payroll Deduction Changes

Continue Payroll Deduction: If you wish to maintain your membership without interruption, you can continue your payroll deduction. Please click here to complete the form or visit the membership desk during our hours of operation. 


Cancel Payroll Deduction: If you decide to discontinue your membership, please click here or visit the membership desk during our hours of operation. We'll update your end date in our system and contact the payroll office. Please remember that any changes to your payroll deduction must be made at least 2 weeks prior to your next scheduled deduction. Deduction options are biweekly (every 2 weeks) or monthly, based on your pay schedule.
 

Change Payroll Deduction: If you'd like to modify your current deduction (e.g., change from an individual membership to a supplemental membership), please stop by the membership desk during our hours of operation. You'll need to complete a form, and we'll process the new arrangement in our system. All members on the account over the age of 18 years old must present an ID at the time of change.
